The Magana family has been cultivating coffee for six generations, when General Francisco Menendez promoted the expansion of coffee plantations by replacing traditional indigo plantations.
In the area of “Laguna de las ninfas” grows the finca Piemonte, bought back by the Magana family in 2000, the choice of variety is bourbon despite being very fragile to the “leaf rust” but superior quality. The excellent terroir allows to grow an excellent coffee processed internally in the family mill, in this case it is a coffee processed with traditional washed method.
The Magana family has a specific focus on its employees by offering free medical care and clean water to surrounding communities by combining social projects related to the construction of sports infrastructure and schools.
The profile is defined and well traceable to the country of origin: hints of dried fruit and biscuits such as amaretto and almond followed by a pleasant and sweet after-taste of white chocolate.
