In its heart, along the imposing mountains of Western Ghats, is the Elk Hill estate composed of eight different farms for a total of 927 hectares, about two thirds of the cultivation are destined for “fine Robusta” coffee. Coffee plants grow alongside citrus and pepper plants, while the surrounding valleys are covered with rice fields. Natural forests allow coffee to be grown in the shade of different species, creating a higher aromatic intensity thanks to the slower ripening of cherries. The internal processing facilities cover the entire production chain and allow full traceability: after harvesting, the coffee is processed in its own wet and dry mills, then packaged and exported. The company has continuously worked to improve the quality of coffee by winning several national awards. Prepared in espresso gives a thick cream and incredible elasticity, the smell are enhanced spicy notes of white pepper, the taste stand out distinctive notes of dried fruit in particular walnut accompanied by an extremely syrupy and clean body, concludes the experience a sweet note of vanilla with a very persistent after taste.
